Blog 3: specialization in scenic design
Theatrical design career is one of a kind. It is the only race of its kind in Chile and Latin America. In 5 years, the 5 trades that make up the discipline are studied. This career has no one to compare itself with in Chile since there are no other schools that teach it. Theatrical design is made up of 5 trades that are the basis of the formation of the national theatrical/scenic designer. Costume designers, illuminators, set designers, make-up artists and stagehands or stage technicians. The university doesn't allow specialization in any of these areas, but appeals to all students to learn all trades in order to access the academic degree.
